8. Widget: Anonymous registration

End user 7 min read

1 WHAT IT IS

The Anonymous Registration portal is a page inside Bizzmine that lets you submit something – a report, a remark, an answer to a questionnaire – without logging in and without revealing who you are. Your organisation shares a link or a QR code with you; opening it takes you straight to a small public page with one or more options to choose from. It's typically used for things where staying anonymous matters, such as whistleblowing reports or anonymous feedback.

2 WHO IT'S FOR

Audience: End user    Reading time: 7 min

For anyone who has received an anonymous portal link or QR code and wants to know what to expect before using it.

3 PREREQUISITES

None. You don't need a Bizzmine account, a username, or a password – that's the entire point of this feature. All you need is the link or QR code your organisation gave you.

4 HOW IT WORKS

Opening the link or QR code

Tap or scan the link you were given – on your phone, tablet, or computer, in any browser. No app, login screen, or account is needed. If the link has been deactivated or is no longer valid, you'll land on a plain page saying you don't have access, instead of the portal – if that happens, let whoever shared the link with you know, since it usually means the link needs to be refreshed on their end.

If you're already logged into Bizzmine on the same device

If you happen to have a regular Bizzmine session open in the same browser, you'll first see a small pop-up titled Currently Logged On, asking you to confirm switching to an anonymous session. This is just a safety check so the two sessions don't get mixed up in the same browser tab – choosing Ok continues on to the anonymous portal and does not affect your regular account in any way; choosing Cancel keeps you logged in as yourself and does not open the portal.

The portal page

Once you're in, you'll see a page – styled with your organisation's own colours and logo – showing one or more tiles, each with an icon and a short label. Every tile is a different thing you can report or submit; a portal set up for multiple purposes might show tiles like "Report a safety incident", "Submit an anonymous remark" and "Whistleblower report" side by side. Sometimes the link you were given points straight to one specific tile, in which case you'll skip this page entirely and land directly in that form.

If several languages are available, you can switch between them directly on this page. If a particular option hasn't been translated into the language you picked, Bizzmine automatically shows its text in the default language instead – you'll never see a blank or broken tile.

Filling in and submitting the form

Tapping a tile opens a form – it looks and works exactly like any other Bizzmine form, just without a login step. Fill it in the same way you would fill in any online form:

  1. Complete the fields shown on the form.
  2. If you decide not to submit after all, simply close the form – nothing is saved and you're returned to where you started.
  3. When you're ready, submit the form.

After a successful submission you'll see a short confirmation screen ("Thank You" – "The form was submitted successfully."), which closes by itself after a few seconds. If something goes wrong while submitting – for example a connection issue – you'll see a message asking you to try again later; simply reopen the link and try once more.

How anonymous is "anonymous"?

Genuinely anonymous by design: no Bizzmine account is created for you, nothing about your identity is captured behind the scenes, and there's no login step that could tie the submission back to you. The only information that ends up in your submission is whatever you actually type into the form's fields – if a field explicitly asks for your name or contact details, that's a deliberate choice by whoever designed that specific form, not something the portal collects automatically.
